Alli Jones, Artistic Director

Growing up in New York, Alli was influenced by a wide variety of choreographers while a company member at the Steffi Nossen School of Dance. Notable choreographers include Kevin Wynn, Michael Foley, Nancy Lushington, and Tim Martin, At the age of 17, she performed professionally with Tim Martin 1990/1991. In 1996, Alli graduated from Ohio University where she received a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Therapeutic Arts with a Concentration in Dance and Choreography. Following University, she studied dance at the Beijing Dance Academy with Doug Nielson and Dan Wagoner as guest faculty. Alli studied Chinese Cultural Dance, Fan Dance and Tai Chi. She then travelled to Bali, Indonesia to study Balinese dance. In 1997 Alli moved to Boulder, Colorado where she studied and now practices Massage and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Alli danced and with Mariposa Collective, Movement Alliance (better known as MA Dance) and Don Atwood. Alli founded Nosilla Dance Project in 2003, Her first full length show was “Toe Jam”. After a long pause due to living abroad and starting a family, Alli re-started Nosilla Dance Project in 2016. Additionally, Alli is a board member of Mariposa Collective. Alli feels incredibly fortunate to have found dancers who are open to exploring her quirky ideas.

Jethro Paine, Company Dancer

Jethro Paine started his dance training in Southeastern Europe, where he lived for ten years, before attending the Royal Ballet School in London (2013-19). He went on to work as a professional dancer with Boston Ballet II.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Jethro kickstarted his freelance career and worked with English National Ballet on their productions of Raymonda and The Nutcracker, followed by various short-term contracts with Wales’ national ballet company, Ballet Cymru. He has also spent time touring with Zikr Dance Ensemble across Colorado and New Mexico.

Having recently completed an MSc in Social Anthropology at University College London, Jethro moved to Colorado in August 2024 to start working with Boulder Ballet. He is excited to also be a dancer with Nosilla Dance Project.

Cassy Clark, Company Dancer

Cassy Clark is a Denver/Boulder-based dancer and choreographer whose work weaves technical clarity with emotionally charged, expressive movement. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, she began her training at Tanner Dance and earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado Boulder in December 2023.

Her work investigates the ways personal experience shapes and is carried through the body, viewing movement as a living archive of memory, vulnerability, and transformation. Through her research, she explores how dance can honor the inner child and serve as a means to process emotional complexity and lived experience.

Cassy currently teaches and works as an administrator at Live Love Dance in Broomfield, Colorado, while continuing her training in street dance styles. As a performer, she has appeared with Mariposa Collective, Summer Mountain Dance Project, and at the Freeform Dance Festival. She is excited to dance with Nosilla Dance Project this upcoming season.

Mira Kaplan, Company Dancer

Mira Kaplan began dancing in Vermont at a young age, drawn to the expressive power and freedom of movement. She continued her formal training at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy (2014-16) and The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory (2016-17), later earning her BFA in Dance Performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford in 2021.

Now based in Colorado, Mira is expanding her passion for movement through teaching the GYROTONIC® Method alongside her ongoing work as a professional dancer. She has performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Ihsan Rustem, Andrea Miller, and Gabrielle Lamb, and her repertoire spans classical ballet, contemporary, and modern techniques such as Graham, Limón, and Cunningham.

Mira continues to explore new ways of integrating movement, artistry, and somatic practice, and is excited to be a dancer with Nosilla Dance Project.
